How to Keep a Positive Mind

There’s nothing worse, when you have goals, than to have something take away your positive mentality. A negative mind is self-defeating and you need to do WHATEVER you can to eliminate it. The difference between a positive mind and a negative one is the same as the difference between success and failure, respectively. Let’s dive into this notion.

When you keep a positive mind it seems like everything runs smoothly. The ideas and breakthrough plans you need to reach your next level of success just pour out. You’re on the roll! You can do whatever it is you need to. But, when the negative mind is in town, you get lazy. You don’t want to do what you need to, let alone think of what to do, because all you’re thinking about is the negative bug in your head. Well, you need to squash that bug! How? How can you get back in the zone?

I believe everyone is a little different with what helps, but I can share what helps me the most. I have these listed from most to least helpful. Keep in mind they ALL help.

  • Meditate

Clear your mind. Focus on your goals. If you’ve never meditated I highly recommend you try it.

  • Run

Tire that negative mind out, so all you’re left with is positive.

  • Lift weights

Burn the negative thoughts. If you’ve ever lifted weights, you know a great workout always burns.

So try one. Try all! Just make sure you do SOMETHING to get rid of the negative. You’re only hurting yourself. This topic drew out my favorite quote by Henry Ford. “Whether you think you can or can’t, you’re right.”
